Cast and Settings
the D family
Kari- That's ME! I'm writing this journal! I'm 22 and a christian. I attended Uni for 3 years and now attend College. My sign is Scorpio, not that i really care, but if you do, there ya go.
Josh- My darlin' older brother... older by 13+ years! Doesn't live far from Uni... he even WORKS there! I don't see them much anymore
Katie- Josh's wonderful wife and mother of three. She allowed me to do laundry in exchange for babysitting when at uni.
Luke- my ornery twelve year-old nephew. Man I love him *grin* I really like his red hair. It's soo cute! (Just don't let him know I called him cute!)
Lauren- my older niece. she's eight and knows she's a princess. She's into frills and girly things, and she has her daddy's red hair (yes, my family is full of them!)
Leah- my younger niece. she's very much a girl at the age of six. She's pretty laid back too, and reminds me of... well me... with her honey blond hair and freckles! Now she reminds me more and more of her mom. She's a joy to be around.
MOM and DAD- Well, if you need help, they are my parents... Mom tries to sell make up and dad is a doc.
GiGi- My grandmother. She was my last living grandparent and died in July 2007 after living over a decade with alzheimer's.

Cheri- my boss in L-town. she's a doctor and adopting a couple of teenagers who have in turn adopted me as their big sis.
Callie- the older of the two adoptees
Eli- callie's half bro. he's the sweetheart of the pair =)
Janie- a family friend, and a patient of my dad's. She took care of GiGi and we still see her around now and then. She likes to bring Dublin Dr Pepper when she comes up here. She is like my dad's sister, but not really
Rachel- my 13 year old “little sister” who adopted me when I spent thanksgiving with her
Sierra- Rachel’s older sister. Their parents are leaders in my family’s church and opened their house and family up for me to spend thanksgiving with them when my parents went to see Josh and Katie and I was stuck at home due to work.
Friends at College
Davina- my roomie at college. She and i are so different and so similar it's almost scary. She and I are best friend, and she's dating Jake
jake- dav's boyfriend and my best guy friend.
The Other White Meat (TOWM)- Jake’s roomie, Dav’s exboyfriend. He basically went insane after he broke up with her (and accused her of cheating on him with Jake, his bestie.)
George- a guy I dated over the summer 2008. He feels called to be a pediatric chaplain and as such he didn’t feel that we could be anymore than just friend. I have some scars from this relationship, but they are healing
ET- a gal friend. She and I are movie buddies and have taken classes together =) an amazing friend.
Ray- my “chai” buddy. She and I call each other when we have bad days and take the other out for chai and listen. She’s helped me to realize a lot of who I am. Though she’s not my BFF, she is definitely a very good friend.
Lil Bit- she’s about 5’2 and very petite. Hence the nick name. She’s everyone’s little sister
Emily and Zack (Emilack) – a couple from College. They are crazy and have been dating for a long time (well to me)
KT- Friends with Ray and Lil Bit. Very musically inclined, and very talented. Dating Rob. I think they’ll be engaged soon.

Emma- my best friend from Hicksonville. We met my sophomore year of high school and both moved shortly after, but remained extremely close. She is married to Cole and they have two children... My "almost" niecea and nephew! She and her kids live in P-Ville while Cole's overseas with the military.
Clay- My first date and a really good friend. We met online and started talking on the phone, and then met. Probably my first *real* love, but now he is just a good guy friend, and a brother. When he has kids, they too will be my nieces and nephews. He live half an hour from Hicksonville, but I don't see him that often.
Alisha- Clay's wife and a kindred spirit
JD- a friend from Hicksonville
Erik- JD’s hubby
Uni friends
Cali- My best friend at Uni from California. She and I were roomies sophomore year at Uni
Mango- My friend from Dallas. She and I have a... Unique relationship and I've been able to visit her home twice, once for the Texas Scottish Festival, and once for Celebrate Freedom.
high school friends
Daniel and Samuel- two of my best guy friends. Both have died. D was in a car accident in 2007 and S died from an enlarged heart in 2004. I miss them a lot at times.
Roxie- My best friend in Cedar Creek. Flaming red hair and a temper to match. We don't really talk as much as we used to.
Bubba- Roxie's brother
Bunny- bubba's ex-wife
Chris- (short for Christina) a friend from CC, but she and I never talk any more
Jimmy (james)- an exboyfriend, yet still really close friend. He recently got married and he and his bride are in Georgia for the moment.
Amber-Jimmy's wife and a Kindred spirit. she and i have talked about a lot of stuff, especially guys and Jimmy. She’s not from Cedar Creek but since she married Jimmy, she’s listed here
Nate- A guy who visits his granddad every summer and is the same age as I am. Also not from Cedar Creek but his grand dad is =)
Donny- my redheaded exboyfriend, perhaps the only guy i've dated that is shorter than me.
Nicole (Nikky)- Donny's nine year old niece who absolutely adores me, and I like her too. She's a sweetie! she thinks me and donny should still be together
Johnny- Another one of those guys who liked me once upon a time. I like to claim him as my cousin because he and I share the last name. He's a great guy and i miss hanging out with him. I love him (as a brother!) just the same.
Trav- Bunny's neighbor. I think he's thinking about Uni too. he's a cool guy. I barely even know him and he gives me hugs. YAY! He’s in the military. I think we had a weekend fling, but it didn’t last forever (a good thing too!)
Sarah- Roxie's cousin and my walking buddy during the summers I lived in CC. She's a great Christian girl and we talk about almost everything. You'd think she's older than just 16!
Places
Hicksonville- town where i spent most of my life growing up... up in the northwest Texas area (Yeehaw!)
Cedar Creek- town I moved to at 16 with my parents. I graduated CCHS... Longhorns all the way!
L-Town- where dad now works. Hometown of Clay, half an hour from hicksonville.
Uni- where I attended school for three years... the mascot is the eagles
Starbucks- where i worked while at Uni
College- where i now attend school as a social sciences major, where i study world religions and people and stuff...
P-ville- where Emma lives now. I see her occasionally and i'm always running around in p- ville
